The final website is minimal, dark and exclusive in design but rich in brand building. Shanghai Club is well known in Edinburgh for being the city’s premiere clubbing experience and the venues first stand alone website could not disappoint.
The site features a flexible design system without pre defined constraints which enables us to adapt the website to seasonal promotions or themes. We also took great care to select premium typefaces and colour palettes that served to support and extend the venues core branding and positioning as it plants it’s own flag in the digital space first time.
Exclusive visual content
In order to properly convey Shanghai Clubs exclusive image, we shot a number of short form web exclusive teasers for each of their club nights. These films were scripted and shot with optimisation for web in mind to capture each nights vibe and experience to prospective visitors to the club.

Forged from first hand experience with dozens of venues across the UK and with no upfront cost, the solution allowed a flexible design, lightening fast load times, and an easy to use CMS for constant updates to the venues range of nights, offers and spaces via our 24/7 support channel.

Content is king for venues like Shanghai Club and OneSite™ gives our partners unlimited changes and a dedicated private support channel unlike any other. This enables key stakeholders within the venue to quickly request updates, changes, and even new pages or concepts entirely that are actioned within 24 hours by our team at no extra cost.
Including Shanghai, OneSite™ is now implemented in over 40 venues across the UK & Ireland. Our system is empowering venues to focus on what they do best, running their business while we take care of the rest.
Mobile first design
The desktop version of the site was only our starting point and was expertly adapted to continue the dark and exclusive experience across all mobile devices.
Designed to be easy on the eyes the mobile site allows users to fully enjoy the site’s exclusive feel by serving device specific video content, combined with custom mobile only functionality and navigation. The work resulted in a flawless mobile experience for Shanghai Clubs high end clientele no matter the device they use.
